I am a senior citizen living in Lenexa and I really enjoy reading The Best Times and all the good articles. I would, however, like to offer a correction to an article in your latest edition (January 2012). In the article on the Cosmopolitan Club of Johnson County, by Annie Withers, it was stated … that "We were the first service club in Johnson County." I am a longtime member of the Johnson County Rotary Club and Rotary International. … With all due respect to Mr. Brockman, the Shawnee Mission Rotary Club, which was formed in 1946, is, I believe, the oldest service club in Johnson County. I refer you to their Web site, www.smksrotary.org.
