The Johnson County Household Hazardous Materials Collection Program will accept your electronic waste for recycling and your household hazardous waste throughout the spring and summer. These recycling events are for Johnson County residents only; no business waste is accepted.

Accepted electronic items include batteries, cameras, CD players, cell phones, all computer equipment, faxes, printers, and video games. A fee will apply for monitors ($10) and televisions ($15); all other items are free. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted.

The dates are April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, Aug. 13, Sept. 10, and Oct. 8.

After you have made an appointment, you will be given directions to the drop-off facility.
