We hear this praise and gratitude every day from residents in the 56,000 households receiving The Best Times from Johnson County Government each month. Many of those grateful readers end their e-mails or calls by saying, "Let us know what we can do for you."
This holiday season, we're offering a simple answer: Give yourself a year's worth of The Best Times.
Yes, the paper comes to you for free. But we've been hit hard by the demons afflicting all publications: rising paper, printing, and postage costs, and advertisers whose budgets have crashed with the recession.
A simple act of generosity could banish those demons for another year. All it takes is for you and every other Best Times reader to send in a "subscription fee"—say the $15 we charge to readers who aren't yet 60 or who live outside the county.
