The Johnson County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) issued a proclamation in honor of Older Americans Month in May. The proclamation called attention to the accomplishments, talents, and presence of the county's 60-and-older population. Volunteers with Johnson County Human Services were recognized for their contributions to the department and the community on June 10 at Shawnee Town Hall. The event included food, camaraderie, and musical entertainment.
