Poetry

Renewal

When winter clawed at my window
I huddled alone inside.
My storm-blown garden was buried
With leaves, all brown and dried.
Then warm winds blew the clouds away.
The sun came out.
A vagrant ray
Peeked shyly at the ground.
Another joined,
Life's glint to bring.
My faith renewed,
I start to sing.
The harsher the winter,
The brighter the spring.
