World War II, Navy; USS Concord CL-10, Seaman lst Class, Deck Force, served in Aleutian Islands and other Pacific areas, at sea 1 1/2 years, mother and aunt served at North Platte Canteen.

World War II, Army; 1940-45, National Guard, Army Reserves until 1953, 635th Tank Destroyer Battalion, Reconnaissance Sergeant, D-Day Omaha Beach, Battle of the Bulge, through end of war; Bronze Star.

Korea, Army; 45th and 7th Infantry Divisions, Headquarters Motor Pool, Staff Sergeant, Mechanic, in Korea for 1 1/2 years, stationed on DMZ, went in at Inchon.

World War II, Navy; 35th Special Seabees at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Seaman 1st Class, primary job loading and unloading ships to support Pacific war activities, served 1943-46.

Vietnam, Army; 1st Signal Brigade, Sergeant, Crew Chief of Fixed-Wing Aircraft, served two tours, 1966-68 in country, flew 100 combat missions, Tan Son Nhut Airbase.

World War II, Army; 9th Infantry Division, 47th Regiment, Private
1st Class, landed at Normandy D+1, injured twice; Bronze Star, Purple Heart, French Legion of Honor Medal.
